How long have you been tour directing?
I have been a TD for 12 years.

Where have you led tours?
I have led tours through out the Western US and Canada. I also work as Travel Director Staff on Incentive Programs.

What did you do before tour directing?
In my previous career I worked in the Aerospace Industry where I was a Project Engineer for North American Aviation on the Apollo/Saturn Program. Later I worked for Hughes Aircraft Co. on communication satellites where I was a Launch Operations Manager.

How has tour directing changed your life?
Probably the most interesting event to happen to me as a tour director was when I led a British group on tour. Two of the passengers were from the area in Wales where my Grandparents grew up. Through them I met distant relatives living in Wales.

What do you do when you are not tour directing?
I am a skier and have skied many areas in the Western US and Canada. I'm also a pilot and have flown in areas of the US, Alaska, Western Canada, Australia and Southern Africa.

How has ITMI supported you in your career?
I knew nothing about being a tour director prior to attending the ITMI class. Through ITMI I learned the skills and made the contacts and have had success and fun being a tour director.
