I have several favorites.  One, for you I Tunes fans there is a podcast "Talking
Travel" they talk about all sorts of things.

Then for books   "Weird New England" is fun it has local legends and best kept
secrets etc.  There are other Weird books for other areas, if you go to one area
often it's worth buying.

New England Trips  by Ray Bartlett & Gregory Clark.  Good easy to find information
on most of the places the tours go.
