Re: Travel Quote of the Week
Although it was almost exactly 50 years ago and I was only 20, a single quote consisting of but two words stands out forever in my mind.
It was in the (preserved) bombed out ruins of the cathedral in Coventry, England, the city that the Nazi Luftwaffe tried to obliterate in one hellish night in 1940. While the new cathedral towers over the adjacent ruins, two words are carved in the sandstone remains…..FATHER FORGIVE.
I am not a religious person….but two words….50 years…….Never to be forgotten.
