He spent years building an incredible structure, which is now a museum.

A funny one, from the PRC in the 1980s…

My Bejing local guide asked if he could give a short overview of Chinese History on the bus ride out to the Great Wall. Having taken the (somewhat boring) ride many times, I said Thanks, that would serve as a diversion. He told me he was a History Professor, but since his English language skills were very good, the government had taken him from his classroom and mad him serve as a guide. He turned out to be a wonderful speaker and the group was spellbound. When he finished, one of the ladies in the front voiced how much everyone had enjoyed his presentation, saying it was hard for us to get a handle on Chinese History. He smiled and said even he had trouble, since the Party officials changed it so often.

How easily we dismiss that which is for the true benefit of our soul and eternal salvation for the sake of comfort

with our present beliefs and way of thinking. — unknown

Isn’t it the way we perceive things that makes them what they will be. – Moon Rider, Up With People.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life

- Attributed to St. Francis of Assisi. Found at San Carlos Borromeo in Carmel, CA

Two pretty funny questions asked of me on a San Francisco city tour:
From the top of Twin Peaks looking over the city and the bay:
Is this the Bay of Pigs?
After driving up and down of few of San Francisco’s famous hills:
Why are there so many hills?
These should “tickle a few funny bones”.
