Re: Travel Quote of the Week
Although it was almost exactly 50 years ago and I was only 20, a single quote consisting of but two words stands out forever in my mind.
It was in the (preserved) bombed out ruins of the cathedral in Coventry, England, the city that the Nazi Luftwaffe tried to obliterate in one hellish night in 1940. While the new cathedral towers over the adjacent ruins, two words are carved in the sandstone remains…..FATHER FORGIVE.
I am not a religious person….but two words….50 years…….Never to be forgotten.
The whole story can be read at

One of the best quotes that I have read in my travels is by Stephen Covey:
“We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey.”
This is comforting, and is a beautiful reminder of who, and what we are.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL ON SUNDAY!
Best,
Anne

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Sometimes when we think that we have adversity in our lives, it is actually a blessing “in disguise.”

Hi Guys,
It is a very simple one . . . I am always reminded by the wonderful world around me and, often tell my passengers . . . “I love the view from my office!”. I think all of you “roadies” would agree!
Thanks for asking,
Susan Bolton, TD

This I saw at a restaurant in the rainforest in Puerto Rico. Its a little restaurant with only five tables, so maybe I call it an eatery.
Here is what I read in there
“Lo que no mata, engorda” which means: what doesnot kill you makes you fat.
Should I eat there again!!!!!!!!

I use this old Chinese proverb in all of my travel lectures:
“A man who travels 500 miles learns more than a man who reads 500 books.”

When a passenger or passengers delight in an upcoming experience but I feel they need some encouragement to participate….I merely say…………
“Gather ye rosebuds while you may, Time is but a flying……For this rosebud that blooms today, Tomorrow will be dying”
or
Carpe Diem…Seize the Day.
This usually does the trick All the Best. Becky Hoffman

Hello!
Think of that one very often “WORRY IS INTEREST PAID BEFOR IT IS DUE” advertising the Sunday church ceremony, in Vancouver I was on the way to the Airport.
Hope all is well with you.
Regards,
Terry
