Graduate Feedback
To everyone at ITMI:
I just wanted to pass on some great news in my life. I just returned from an interview with Collette Vacations and I was offered a full time Tour Manager position. I will be training this spring, then on the road this summer. I have no idea where they intend to use me...For me this jump starts my career and solidifies my presence in the industry...and I owe it all to my training and the incredible networking at ITMI.

After graduating I was able to secure several tour director jobs and worked for 5 years. I then married the love of my life and I quit work. However the lessons and experience I had as a tour director helped me in planning MANY trips for us for 13 years, until he passed away in 2006. My grief did not allow me to do very many things for over a year. I finally decided to start traveling again and now chair a volunteer committee at a Senior Activities Center to plan and escort day and overnight trips. I would not have had all of the joy of travel in my later years if I had not attended ITMI. Thanks to Ted, Bill, and Randy for helping me to have so much fun and LEARN things all over the world!! I love trips with Elderhostel, I will soon be 78 years old and going strong!!

The Premier Training Institute for Professional Tour Directors Since 1976
The International Tour Management Institute (ITMI) trains people to become professional tour directors
(also known as tour managers, tour escorts, couriers, trip leaders, trek leaders, travel directors, and
tour conductors) and tour guides. Right now business is growing for travel professionals.
As quoted in a recent article, "Tour directing is a good job choice for people in
many different life situations. You don't need to spend months away
from home, your schedule is flexible, and it is personally satisfying," says Ted Bravos, co-founder of ITMI, the state-certified school for training professional tour directors.
Few careers offer you the freedom to decide when and where you want to
work. You will be paid to visit fine resorts, dine at world famous restaurants, and become your own goodwill ambassador.
