The ITMI office and team of instructors are available to alumni throughout the year to answer questions, conduct graduate counselling, connect you with up to date job opportunities, offer master classes, Annual ITMI Symposium - our annual education, networking & job opportunity conference and more.
Lifetime Professional Development
Introduction to local Professional Associations to further your connections with Certified Professionals in your area. Associations include: National Federation of Tour Guide Associations (NFTGA), World Federation of Tour Guide Associations (WFTGA), Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA), the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington D.C., Guides Association of New York City, San Francisco Tour Guide Guild (SFTGG), Utah Tour Guide Association, Chicago Tour Guide Professional Association and more.

Resume and cover letter preparation, this will be completed before the end of the course so that you will immediately be able to apply for jobs.

A list of tour operators whom you can contact to begin to secure assignments, you may receive updated lists for the lifetime of your career.

A full–day city training tour on a motor coach by your third day of class.
An overview of safety issues and how to work with a motor coach driver.
A full-day motor coach hands-on training thru the regional destination, where you practice tour commentary.
Travel to the airport for training for meet & greet, international and domestic policy overview.
Three days and two-night on a motorcoach tour during your second week of class.
An overnight stay at a hotel during your three-day field trip, the hotel covered in your tuition.
Some meals and gratuities on the overnight trip are also covered.

Credit Card/Debit Card/Check — ITMI accepts all major credit cards. Reminder: some debit cards have daily limits.
Family — It is common for family members to help pay for your school. We can accept credit cards and checks from family members
Payment Plan — You can make monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly payments toward your class in advance of arrival to class
Types of Assistance
There are a few types of tuition assistance & information, outlined below.
Personal Loan– Students can apply for loans through their own bank or a family member’s bank.
Employer Tuition Assistance– Some companies offer tuition assistance. Ask your employer.
If you are former military or a spouse or child of a former or current military service member, you may be entitled to scholarships, grants or other forms of financial aid. Family members of deceased military personnel are also likely to qualify for financial benefits. Learn More.
For Military Spouses please view MYCAA. The spouse will need to register, create a goal or action plan, talk with the representatives at MyCAA to discuss their plans and get approval for the ITMI program.
Lifetime Learning Credit
Eligible U.S. based students may receive a 20% credit for their tuition payments on their federal taxes. Currently, the credit is approximately $860. ITMI will mail qualified students a 1098T Form for the appropriate taxable year for students to submit.
ITMI does not provide any direct financial aid, but you might qualify for special federal grant programs or tuition assistance.
